Open For Business

The former Starbucks on Shaw & Armstrong is now Mickey’s Yogurt and seems to be the happening place lately. Since they opened on Thursday, crowds have rushed to try the new locally owned frozen yogurt shop. And for good reason: serve yourself a healthier dessert alternative than ice cream but just as tasty and from a variety of flavors from velvet chocolate to tart lime.

They’re open ’till 11pm on weekends and 9pm during the week. Everything from frozen yogurt to toppings costs .39/ounce. I tried out every flavor that had the word chocolate in it. Next trip will be tart.

    Hey Eva,
Mickey’s Yogurt shop is just down the street from me. I haven’t had the opportunity to experience their delectable assorted flavors of yogurts yet, but my daughter and a couple of her friends have and they are singing Mickey’s praises. So I might just have to jump on my trusty Diamondback Wildwood comfort bike (Miss Daisy) and treat myself.

    SherYogurt,

You won’t be disappointed. However, I should warn you…its really easy to over-indulge with the self serve trickery. I loaded my cup up then couldn’t finish it. And they offer two sizes; large and extra large. And Miss Daisy will appreciate the outing.
